Asleep in the Field of Dreams
Diamonds in the sand,
Colors of every hue,
Perfect pastel paradise,
Swirling all around you.
Catch them in your hands,
Each liquid crystal drop,
Treasure trove of tasty,
Like peeking in a candy shop.
Touch each one in wonder,
Watch it sail away,
Looking, longing, laughing,
As it paints the day.
Such a lovely wonderland,
Gemstones stuck in time,
Fading, falling, forgotten,
As from your field of dreams you climb...

Dancing in the Stars
She said, "Honey you're one jive-baby,
rockin' worlds all night through,
Baby baby listen to
That song sing about me and you."
He cocks his head, looks her way.
groovin to the magic band,
"Well you're my sugar woman, baby."
And he reaches for her hand.
Fools say they knew all that night,
the language of their love.
Swayin hips and foxy lips,
as stars admire from up above.
Her eyes sparkle as he steals her heart,
and they dance the night away.
Her jive-baby and his sugar woman,
beauty for the song they play.
They die that way, years long gone,
swaying in the others embrace.
The words don't matter, just the tune,
While they d
Forever or never, yet nearly so far,
Love is not evil if you live as you are.
Every now and again, be it pleasant or plain,
Giving, not taking is the name of the game.
Hundreds of thousands, so many yet none,
Winning or losing, but tryings step one.
Loving the power but hating the price,
Making or taking, but paying it twice.
Losing your grip, hold, don't let it slip,
Twisting and turning, watch as it flips.
Way of the future, slipping on past,
Speeding so slowly, so achingly fast.
Life and death, walking hand in hand,
Caskets of stone and castles of sand.
Drops in a bucket, make puddles, make lakes,
A lie or the truth, but bel

She That Shook the World
She is...
All the words in all the worlds could never explain her haunting beauty.
In her eyes swam truth like golden trinkets.
They the color of shadows on snow.
Blue,ice blue,silver.
Seething with truth and pain...
Truth and pain.
Pain and Truth.
Did she cry crimson tears?
Were the tears frozen forever in the depths of those eyes?
Those silver-blue eyes...They made the world shiver

The King and His Queen
A silence so golden it lights up the night. Ethereal.
Trees dancing to a tune, the winds invisible orchestra
And the shadows they cast, the very notes to the songs that they play
Thier silvery leaves whisper of the coming dawn
And hope that the clouds will bring rain
Some fall to the ground to converse with the dead
And like a dragons eye, the moon watches all
Her light shines on everything, the just and the unjust
And we are her prisoners to be judged at her whim
But where is her prince? Her prince of the night.
He is everywhere and everything that the light is not
He is the stars as they chant about the gods that rose and fell an

Forgive Me of My Sins
Blank pages with forgotten thoughts slowly fill
From hearts desire, secrets and sins begin to spill
Lost souls bang on Heavens Door until
The darkest demons dream has finally come to kill
Oh won't you save us?
Save me from my darkest deeds
Oh can't you redeem us?
Monsters of our false needs
A secret shadow lights the night, whispered words now found
And the bruises of his love show, till you are underground
Where all fear bides and darkness becomes sound
And the halls of the Dead scream and dance around
Fill this darkness with your purest light
Save us from our sins

Vertigo unbidden has lost me in its laws
Gravity bombs or bongs have for no apparent cause
Blown up or bid high and with thier many flaws
Cause constricted confusion caught in the devils cozy little claws
Galaxies of stars and space for all eternity
Lies and murder, incest, rape, our Earths great entity
If not for this then surely you'll hold true enmity
For politics, pedophiles or pill-popping paparazzi all piled prudently on peoples empathy
Does it make sense?
Of course it don't
And never will it will
Oh no it ever won't.

Whisper quickly in my ear
What you're doing all alone in here
Laughing and talking to no one at all
Seeing red faces on the white walls
There's Joe and Jack and Sandy Sue too
Join in and sing with the rest of the crew
Dance a jig to an invisible tune
Your friends will all be leaving so soon
The dark is coming, the end of the light
Monsters lurk at the edges of night
Slobber and spittle and growling you hear
Don't worry my friend there's nothing to fear
It's always been a MADHOUSE in here!!!
If I could dream the Day, the Stars the Sky the Night away
Travelling Beyond,Within, the Galaxies of mortal sin
Maybe then and only then...
I could look for Heavens Laws in search of a worthy cause
A price be paid, Fate delayed, Futures made
For mortals unlike you
If I could hold the Sun, the Stars the Moon the Earth we'd run
Like hot tears we'd fall, encompassing all, everything Great everything Small
Maybe then and only then...
I could unravel great Mysteries of all the Worlds long Histories
Even knowing the price, or the roll of Gods dice, I would'nt think twice
God Roses
When I close my eyes and clear my mind,
and take pen in hand, the words are divine.
The ink flows through my veins and
I disperse it on paper with
rhymes so cold it will pierce your soul,
And make short work of many a hater.
When I close my eyes, and open my mind,
Nightmares and dreamscapes seem to
Tumble from my soul.
Dark things laugh and lightning strikes,
And everything has a name,
Nothing is a foe.
No one can think the way that we do,
Come inside and we'll eat your soul too.
The nightmare is never-ending,
I can not open my eyes
I've been put here to make you all realize,
That this killer won
Dreaming of the day,
Living for the night,
That star-studded sky,
Forever.
I'll call for you,
Maybe I'll see you,
Your moon shares that fate,
Forever.
You'll dream of me,
Wishful thinking,
Of course I'll always disappear,
Forever.
Forever will the day stray for too long,
Forever will the night conceal your face,
Forever will we call out in vain,
Forever we will awake from our dreams.
Forever wishful thinking.
Blood leaves a stain
On my white memory,
Echoes of a long lost love,
And this cloud that is my consciousness,
Only halfway hides my pain.
One word it would take,
To turn me into ashes.
Whispers in a dark hallway with too many doors.
Which should I choose?
There are too many choices to make.
Crumbling, cracking, falling apart,
I have lost my way.
Laughter, moaning, cries of the forsaken,
I have lost my mind,
And you have lost my heart.
When everything else is forgotten,
That bloody stain torn away,
Everything but the memory of what you've done to me…
…Faded.
The rest of me left hollowed out and rotten.

All the nights he prays,
Waiting for someone, anyone,

Chase away all his past shadows.
They scream his name and rape his dreams,
Twitching, crawling, slithering,
Through all the hidden seams.
Far away a lone crow cries,
calling for the day,
So that it may spread its' wings and fly far, far away.

How could you stand just watching me
slowly fade from this place?
I seemed so happy
to put on my clown face.
How could you only sit there,
As I scattered, pieces in the wind?
Finally I found a place where I could belong,
No need for a 'wish I could be there face'.
I sat there naked and you just stared,
You offered me no hope.
I fell to pieces.
A crumpled pile of lost dreams,
The land of lonely things.
You gave me no comfort when I was bare,
Silent and all alone.
No tear you shed for my broken body,
Only when I was beautiful,
You gave me a place that I could call home.
My rage, my wrath, my face, my mask,

Sin is the color of this world,
And laughter is that of a child's,
Long lonely days with their tick-tock clocks,
Separate mine from theirs.
Waiting for my fate to unfurl,
From my tiny cocoon
Into what I am to be,
Just a link in the chain,
Of a long forgotten memory.
Another piece of some other puzzle.
Who created this?
Not me.
Black is the color of everything,
Black and white and gray .
Take you pick I won't tell
Just as long as you don't tell on me.

Give me a word,
And Ill give you a promise.
Give me a hand,
And Ill lend you my wings.
Its too dark down there to see,
Ill open the doors to your cage,
And let you fly away free.
You deserve so much better,
Than to roam for scraps on the ground.
Cant you tell the difference?
Youre better off when hes not around.
He clips your wings,
Locks an unseen chain,
Youre out there all alone,
Dont you feel afraid?
I see that hurt in your eyes,
All that hidden pain.
If he had the chance,

Slowly suck all your essence,
Leaving nothing but a hollowed shell,
And an unforgiving presence.

If the Moon Should Fall by BrainDeadlettes, literature
Literature
If the Moon Should Fall
Drowning, dropping, dreaming,
Dying from that fall.
Lonesome longing lingers,
Losing from it all.
And would you still remain with me,
If I told you I was dead?
If I held my heart open,
To share secrets dipped in red?
Crying, calling, commanding,
Creeping from this grave.
Trying, tearing, twirling,
Taking what I crave.
And if the Moon should fall tonight,
The Stars and Sun to disappear,
If the world should cave in,
Would you stay to caress away that fear?
You can only love me,
Half as much as I do you.
Your lies can only cover,
Half of your hearts truth.

the very wood is teeming with riddles,
and she the guardian, in her cloak of secrets.
hazy beings peer quizzically from between the boughs
of winter stripped alders, themselves alive and sentient.
eyes deep blue and full of a distant knowledge,
her breath smokes in the cold, still air
as she wanders the hidden paths.
poisonous blooms, nightshade and belladonna
spring up blackly beneath her steps.
her hair is ebony, threaded with skeins of white.
heavily thorned branches grow from her brow, dusted lightly with snow.
her face scarred with centuries of frost bite,
she is horrible to behold, yet so beautiful.

Echoes of darkness
And shadows of light
Visions of illusion
Through a haze of spite
When all the the knowledge is turned upside down
In despair and misery the world will drown
Nameless and voiceless
The people will rise
Through the haze of gunfire,
Many will die.
When the fields of heaven
Are littered with men
Broken and Bleeding,
We'll see only then.
Hatred and Jealousy
Have but one end:
To consume our dreams,
And swallow our thoughts,
They'll leave us with nothing;
Nothing left to defend.
Out of the darkness,
A shadow will rise
Will show us our wishes,
Our desires and lies
Silence the moaning
And concal the loss

In sullen monotony I stagger upon,
A quiet world infected with brown.
I search for some color to liven it up,
But all that I found was this little cup.
In hopeless abandon I dropped it down,
It bounces a little then twirls around.
'Hey Quit It!' It shouts in a gravelly pout,
'I just got settled then you tossed me about!'
It rolls around meekly for a moment or two,
Then comes to rest against an odd little shoe.
'Well hello' the cup states in a business like tone,
'Glad to meet you' is the answer with an exasperated moan.
'I've lost my dear brother'
It explains to the cup,
'Oh my is it terrible!'
And props itself up.

What happened to you
I say with a frown
Disgusted inside
As you hang your head down
And just as you do
I look deep in your eyes
Your soul rather seems
To have said its goodbyes
But how long ago
Is there hope here at hand
For this life as it sinks
So quickly in sand
I yell to you "fight"
One option is death
And just as I think
You take your last breathe
Rock bottom to 'them'
is where you are now
and letting 'them' judge
will only allow
Their negative thoughts
To keep this tight hold
On the soul you believed
You had already sold
But know in your heart
Souls cannot be bought
Self destruction's evil web
By this can be
Through The Fire
Skulking through the fire
Admonished by the flames
Ensnared by smokey pictures from within
Watching scenes for dumb eyes only
Searing burns just cold and lonely
As you push away the world to let it in
Screaming is believing
Caught in making yourself heard
The forked red tongues will whisper till you know
Sometimes dreams are meant for waking
And our promises for breaking
Till you find a sense of self in which to grow
Start in passing fancy
Slake your thirst along the way
Yet deals made once in stone are twice in blood
So be careful what you wish for
Through the flames without God's encore
Make your plans, in
The sky's rays are congregating
The passageways illuminating
How the melting shadows lie
Dissipate.. but they never die.
Time is a creation of mind
An overlord of a different kind
The secrets the silence will keep
Mind razors, inability to sleep.
When I gaze into your eyes
I witness my soul's demise
The words that drip.. from your lips
Just whispers of the apocalypse.
These wings struggle beneath the skin
So I may take flight.. and find solace again.
I cant be your.. Guardian Angel.
